A loan of $475 helped buying fabrics and yardage.

Alain's story

This is a young unmarried man, aged 32, who has a 2-year-old child to support.  He has had a business selling fabrics since 2005.  In general, he sells cloth and yardage, which he buys from wholesalers who go to China to make their purchases.  This business enables him to take care of his son and to cover different family expenses.

With this loan, he plans to buy a large inventory of cuts of quality silk and linen that are in style in order to satisfy the desires of his customers. A very enterprising man, he exerts himself despite the difficulties, the high cost of fabrics, and the unstable prices. He does so in order to find the best markets for fabrics and to meet the needs of his customer base.

In the future, he would really like to be a wholesale merchant and go to China himself to buy goods in order to make wholesale deliveries to local stores and markets.  He has great ambitions for his child to advance far in school and for starting a large family.
