A loan of $1,900 helps a member to purchase a variety of ice cream to sell.

Virgen Del Carmen Group's story

The group called Virgen del Carmen was formed with the union of friends and neighbors from Ciudad del Este who seek the way to be able to improve their quality of life and that of their loved ones. They are in their 1st loan cycle in the women's committee program. In addition, they are in the poverty elimination program.

One of them is Marta, who works selling ice cream. She has a modest business in which she works every day and says that she began with very little and has been growing and improving to give her loved ones the best. She is a person who, despite the difficulties, does not give up and seeks the way to be able to continue with her work as she has been doing. She is grateful for the opportunity to be able to join the committee, which will be of great help to her.

She asks for this loan to purchase a variety of flavors of ice cream and, with this, to be able to continue with her work as she has been doing.

In this group: Sara, Eva, Rumilda, Nidia, Blanca, Rosana, Marta, Leonarda, Lus, Maria, Carla, Maria
