A loan of $850 helps to buy animals for resale with the goal of supporting her family's needs.

Bakary's story

Bakary is an indirect individual client who has gone through a group. He is 42 years old, but he did not have the chance to go to school. He is married and the father of four children, two of whom go to school. Bakary has been fattening up cows for more than twenty years. He is on his sixth loan cycle as an individual with RMCR for an amount of 450,000 FCFA. He buys thin cows at the rural markets in his region. After fattening them up, he resells them in the same markets. The profits he generates permit him to take care of familial expenses (health, education, and clothing) and the manure permits him to fertilize his fields. His wife grows vegetables. The problems he often faces are the loss of cows and bad sales. He made recourse to RMCR to better progress in his animal raising business.

In the future, he wants to continue to work with RMCR to generate more profits to meet his family's expenses for the well-being of his family and to run his animal raising well. What pleases him with animal raising is the profit it generates and the organic manure for his fields.
