A loan helped her to gain access to quality farm inputs for improved crop cultivation.

Anneth's story

Anneth, a 25-year-old mom of two children in school, has been a smallholder farmer the past few years. She's gathered much experience and is considered among the best farmers in her village. Her primary sources of income have been milk and crops.

She's very passionate about farming and loves cultivating. She's an honest, hardworking and loyal person who's dedicated to her farm because it allows her to support her family's needs. Although she makes a profit from farming, Anneth's standard of living is not comfortable.

She's always wanted to increase her income by buying quality seeds and other farm inputs. She's requested this loan to make these investments and improve her crop farming.

Kenya's Kericho region, one of the country's most populated, has a high demand for food. This means Anneth could increase her profits by meeting existing demand for crop products.

She's grateful Juhudi Kilimo is partnering with Kiva lenders to help hardworking and honest woman farmers like herself turn their farming dreams into reality through training and loan financing. Anneth is confident this loan will help her and she'll be able to improve her standard of living by meeting local demand for crop products.

She's a special person, grateful for the help and support of her Kiva lenders.

This loan is special because:

It finances smallholder farmers to purchase dairy cows, chickens, cereals, farm inputs and farming equipment.
