Liliana is 39 years old, she is a single mother with 2 children aged 7 and 5 years. They live in the home of a relative in Manta, one of the most important cities for business and tourism on the coast of Ecuador.
Liliana strives every day to make an honest living. For the last 3 years she has run a grocery store business selling a variety of products. Her business was born out of the need to earn an income help her to pay for household expenses. However, because of the Covid-19 pandemic she had to cease trading and her income dropped dramatically due to the health crisis. Now she is applying for a new loan in order to re start her business. She will use this loan to stock her shop with groceries, drinks, cleaning products amongst other things. Her dream is to have a home of her own and that her business continues to grow.
