Monica's story

Monica is a 23-year-old entrepreneur who lives with her parents in the Builsa North District in Ghana. She operates a refrigerator shop where vendors can come and store perishable items like meat. Monica is requesting a Kiva loan to expand her business. She plans to use the profit she earns to reinvest in her business. Monica will repay the ‘social interest’ on her loan by volunteering two and a half hours per week as a business mentor, providing less experienced CAMA and CAMFED alumnae association members with onsite training and mentoring to help them strengthen their businesses.
