A loan of $550 helped to do maintenance on the servers she uses to provide internet access.

Leonor Aurora's story

Leonor is 34 years old and a single mother to her 7 year old daughter. They live with Leonor's mother in the district of Paijan, in the region of La Libertad, located 3 hours from the city of Chiclayo. Two years ago Leonor purchased a photocopier to add to a business she ran from her house, renting internet access. She had the idea because there were few businesses of this type in the area, and it was a big help to all the students. This business has enabled Leonor to support her family.

Prior to this, Leonor had requested funding from Kiva to help with maintenance on her photocopier. She is requesting a new loan so that she can do maintenance on the terminals she uses to provide internet access. Leonor is a hardworking woman. She knows that to get ahead, she needs to work very hard every day. Her primary goal is that her daughter has the chance to study for a good profession. Leonor has worked with us before, and she demonstrated that she is able to make her payments in a timely manner.
