A loan helped to buy more sugar, maize flour and cooking oil.

Leonie's story

Greetings from Rwanda!

This is Leonie, an entrepreneur who owns a shop in her community. Her husband is a nurse, and for the last eight years, Leonie has been running her business. She is a 36-year-old mother of three children aged between four and 10 years old.

Leonie requested a loan to increase her business by buying more sugar, maize flour and cooking oil to meet customer demand. She hopes that the profits she will earn from the loan will enable her to increase her savings to buy a house. In future, Leonie plans to expand her business. Leonie thanks you for your support.

This loan is special because:

It provides training, savings accounts and loans to Rwandan entrepreneurs unserved by the formal banking sector.
