A loan helped a member to buy animal feed.

Thanh Luong 38 Group's story

Minh, 29, is a mother of two daughters. She lives with her husband and children in a small house in a poor and remote village of Viet Nam. Her eldest daughter is in 5th grade while the other is in 3rd grade. Minh's family relies mainly on agricultural production for a living.

Because of the instability of the income from agriculture, Minh works very hard at many activities, including growing rice and vegetables and raising chickens and ducks. In addition, Minh sometimes works as a construction worker.

This is her eighth loan cycle with the Anh Chi Em (ACE) program. She would use the loan to buy animal feed for her chickens and ducks. With the support not only of financing but also non-financial help from ACE, Minh hopes her chickens and ducks will grow up fast and be healthy so that could bring her good income, which she plans to reinvest and pay for her children's education.

Minh wishes her children can attend school fully. In the picture, she stands first on the right.
