A loan helped to open a small canteen that will cater to the community that would otherwise take a 10-minute ride to the nearest town.

Verenaisi's story

For the people of Rampur, convenience is very hard to come by and this causes added expenses of transport just to buy simple necessities in the nearest town.

Verenaisi is hoping to change this by opening her own canteen to offer a variety of goods at affordable prices. She is in search of a loan to help her buy shelving units, canteen stock, storage containers, and other items she requires to run the canteen efficiently. Verenaisi is eager to start this business as she is certain of the returns she will be able to make to cover all expenses and provide for her family and provide a much needed service to her community.

This loan is special because:

It provides women with credit in a country where alternative financing is extremely scarce.
