Solange is a 32-year-old mother of three children between 3 and 14 years old. Her husband is a painter and for the past five years, she has been selling traditional fabrics.

Solange is the leader of the group called Ihunda Ryurukundo Cb (which in English means “People with Love”). Group members sell different items and own a variety of businesses.

Solange will use her loan to buy more traditional fabrics to sell in her community and also be able to meet customer demand. With the profits from her sales, she hopes to increase her savings.

This loan targets clients with limited experience with formal financial services and are designed to provide the borrowing experience and debt management skills to access larger loans. All group members receive four weeks of business and household finance management training and have access to valuable savings account. These loans, which include community banking, advanced community banking, and solidarity groups, have the greatest outreach and transformational impact.
