A loan helped a member to buy baby chickens and baby ducks for raising.

Thanh Yen 39 Group's story

Doan, 38, is an ethnic Thai woman who lives with her daughters and her sister in a small village in the Northwest of Vietnam. She has been divorced for 10 years and became the breadwinner in the family.

Of her three daughters, the oldest is already married, while the other two are still in school. In order to have enough money to cover the life expenses and pay for the children to go to school, Doan works very hard at many small-scale activities, including cultivating rice, cassava, as well as raising ducks and a cow.

Wishing to expand the scale, Doan decided to borrow the first loan at Anh Chi Em program, and the loan will be used to buy baby chickens and baby ducks for raising. Doan hopes that with the support from the program, together with her experience, the chickens and ducks will grow up quickly and healthy, bringing her a high profit so that she will be able to continue to develop and expand the breeding model as well as pay her children's education.

Doan wishes her children a bright future. In the picture, she stands first from the right, bottom row.
