A loan helped to purchase steel material.

Ronald's story

Ronald is a young Rwandan entrepreneur with problem solving skills. Ronald did not want to start just any business to gain profit but he wanted to start a company that would solve a problem in his community.

In 2018, Ronald launched his company that supplies raw materials in order to enhance and add value to the Made in Rwanda products. The company came as a solution to the community because the country is trying to encourage locally made products but there is still a gap to fill of raw materials made in Rwanda. The company supplies steel scrap, plastic scrap, hard and soft aluminum scrap and many others.

He has hired 15 permanent staff and 180 casual staff. 70% of the staff are women living in Kirehe district. Ronald's main clients are local factories in Kirehe, Rubavu and Goma in Rwanda. He has secured quite a number of clientele who order his products in large quantities.

A loan to Ronald would help him purchase steel material to help him provide quality raw materials to his loyal clients. With this loan, Ronald is planning to hire additional 5 permanent employees and 200 casual staff. Ronald is positive that his business will contribute to in the reduction of the import of raw materials.
