Lima, Peru / Vehicle Repairs

A loan of $725 helped to buy batteries to stock his shop.

Augusto's story

Augusto, 53, lives in his own house with his wife and two children. For the past 6 years he has sold car batteries in a small locale located in a machine shop. Because he trained as a mechanic he has the advantage of being able to advise his customers regarding the products he offers because he’s versed in the topic.

He enjoys his work very much and spends most of the day at it; he only rests to take in some refreshment. Because he has regular customers that buy vehicle batteries from him occasionally, he has a steady income.

In the future, he would like to set up his shop on the main avenue so that it will be more visible because he now feels it’s a bit hidden away being inside a car repair shop.

This is his 2nd loan with MFP and he has always been very responsible with respect to repayments.

Augusto plans to use the requested funds to buy a quantity of batteries to supply his customers thereby seeking to improve his income in order to continue to progress.
