God’S Favor Group's story

Odinga G., who is holding the sign, is the leader of a group of five borrowers called 'God’s Favor'. He is 26 years old, single, and cares for two siblings. He was only able to attend school through 12th grade due to financial constraints.

For 7 years, he has been selling soap, salt, and oil at Redlight Market, Paynesville, outside of Monrovia, Liberia. He started his business by selling plastic bags. He plans to use his 10,000 Liberian Dollar portion of this 38,000 Liberian Dollar group loan to buy more bags of salt, soap, and oil. He describes himself as very determined and earnest.

Odinga G.'s dream is to improve his business and be able to open a mineral water factory.
