A loan helped to buy some quality pagnes [colorful cloths popular in west Africa] and put aside some money to take care of her children.

Talato's story

Talato is the mother of 2 children who are in school and she has a care-giver. She has been a street vendor of pagnes at a marketplace in the capital for 8 years. She is on her seventh loan with IMF YIKRI and she repays her loans as agreed.

Talato has applied for a loan to buy some quality pagnes to sell to customers during the holiday season. She plans to reinvest a portion of the money in her business and set aside some money to take care of her children. She urges everyone to protect themselves from the Covid-19 virus.
