Ley's story

Ley, age 28, is married and lives with his family located in Kaoh Andaet district, Takeo province. Ley is working as a taxi driver. Everyday he is working very hard carrying passengers from one place to another place for a low price for the taxi service and has to work more hours everyday to fulfill the needs of customers. He has responsibilities in his taxi service such as driving people from one place to another in a taxi cab, figuring out where passengers are going, asking for directions or determining directions on GPS, using his knowledge of local streets and traffic patterns to avoid heavy traffic, picking up and throwing away debris from passengers, getting the oil changed and fluids checked regularly, picking up people at their request, operating wheelchair lifts, and determining fares based on distance, number of passengers, or times.

Because of a shortage of his finances, he has applied for a loan in the amount of KHR 8,000,000 to pay for land filling around his house to cover the mud. With this loan support, he can pay for land filling and can provide his family members with a good environment, fresh air, protection from illness and living in good conditions.
