This group of six women belongs to the banc villageois that was created in March 2003. They get on well together as they live in the same village. Their principal income generating activity is retail sales. They show solidarity and unity towards each other thanks to the group's good team spirit. Mrs. Sountoukoung, who is 43 and has her hand raised in the photo is the leader of the group. She is married with five children and she supports four additional children. With her new loan, she plans to stock up her store that she has been running for several years. She will use the profits from this loan to reinforce her savings and to renew her stock of merchandise
