This is the “Soñando Juntas” Group. For 9 cycles, they have worked with loans from Pro Mujer. The majority of the entrepreneurs work buying and selling pigs, running small groceries, selling clothing, and raising chickens.
Maria de los Angeles is the president. (She's seated at the front of the group.) She's an active woman, always on call for the group's business. She's the single mother of a 4-year-old child. She works tirelessly to give her child a better future. She needs a loan to supply her clothing store. During the Christmas and New Year season, she has a lot of clients.

Nicaragua's lush vegetation sequesters all its emissions and a bit of ours too. Green Climate Fund just announced it will invest $1 in developing countries including a project to to reduce deforestation in Nicaragua.

Nicaragua has, for a generation, enjoyed peace and democracy. But lately, there's been lots of political drama. The 2019 Fragile States Index report said Nicaragua had become less stable, but not as much so as Venezuela nor Brazil. They said that about the US too. Drama, drama. I watched a comedy skit by an African who said "Compared to African leaders, Mr. Trump was very presidential."
