A loan helped to purchase cattle to increase income from cattle breeding.

Jamal's story

This sweet woman is Jamal. She is 49 years old, married, and raising three children. She has a secondary education and has farmed and bred cattle since 2000 to earn her family's primary income. Thanks to Jamal's hard work and her spouse's help, today her farm has four cows and one horse.

To further expand her farm, she is asking for help from the KIVA Fund in the amount of 80,000 KGS to purchase cattle to increase her income from fattening and reselling cattle. The income generated by the loan will help her expand her farm by multiplying her cattle headcount.

Translated from Russian by Kiva volunteer Peter Ward.

This loan is special because:

It supports organic farming and includes a lower interest rate.
