A loan helped to pay for land filling.

Sokha's story

Sokha is a married man who has been residing in the Kralanh district of Siem Reap Province. He is a father of four children, three of whom are married already. He has been working in the agricultural businesses as the major source of the family’s income. He owns and manages a few hectares of farmland on which he can grow rice and vegetables for sale each harvesting season. For a better income, Sokha devotes his spare time to raising some poultry at home. After three to four months of fattening, he sells them to local tradesmen or butchers and earns a suitable income to support his family.

Because of a shortage in his finances, he has applied for a loan of 8,000,000 KHR to pay for land filling. With this loan, he can pay for land filling around his house and can provide his family members with a good environment by covering the mud around his house. This will create a good place for planting vegetables and also provide protection from illness. In the future, he aims to renovate his old house and push his child to continue studying and go to university. He thanks all the lenders who have contributed their funds to help poor fellows like him.

This loan is special because:

It provides access to clean, renewable energy sources, like solar and biogas.
