A loan helped to buy a cow, so as to provide dairy products for her family and then sell the rest of the dairy products so she can make an extra income.

Lluiza's story

Lluiza is a villager lady from south Albania. She is married and lives with her husband and their youngest son in a well-arranged house.

Agriculture has been the main activity for Lluiza and her family during the last 30 years. They plant different crops, mainly onions, leeks and potatoes.

Lluiza is hoping for her first Kiva loan, as she wants to buy a cow.

"My biggest expenses for the moment go for dairy products and electricity or similar bills. I was hoping that if I buy a cow, this will enable me to provide my family's dairy needs and, at the same time, sell the rest of the products and make a small income, enough to buy the fodder for the cow!" said Lluiza optimistically, during the interview.

Lluiza thanks you all in advance for the support given, and she wishes all the best to all Kiva lenders, and a prosperous and cheerful season.
