A loan of $1,000 helps to buy clothing to sell.

Elixy Maribel's story

Elixy Maribel, 41, is married and has 3 children aged 19, 12, and 2. Her husband is a merchant. The family lives in the city of Puerto Lopez, a place where the residents work in tourism and fishing. This place has been very much affected by Covid-19.

Elixy Maribel is a woman who does not give up in spite of the adversities that she is facing in her life and in her environment. She is trying to get ahead, working in her business selling clothing, shoes, and accessories from catalogs. Prior to the pandemic, she used to have very good sales, but once the pandemic hit, her business slowed down. After some time, she started selling a little more, through social networks and from her house. This is how she is managing to earn a living.

Elizy Maribel will use this loan to buy pants, t-shirts, blouses, and shoes. She hopes that all of this will pass, and everything will return to normal.
