A loan of $1,075 helped to buy a motorcycle taxi.

Rosa's story

R., who is 53 years old, is a widow and she has an adult daughter, Hilda, who is 18 years old. They live together in the town of San Francisco, located in the beautiful jungle of Ayacucho, where they have their own house.

R. remembers that she had wanted for a long time to open her own business. Though at first she didn’t have the means to do so, some family members made her a loan and she opened a bar called “Recreo.” Since then, with the help of her employees, she has tended to her customers, of whom many come to her establishment on the weekends. With the savings she had accumulated during the time she has been working, she decided to expand her business, with the goal of attracting more customers. Her greatest wish is to open a clothing store and introduce new styles that would appeal to her customers’ tastes and preferences. She would also like to buy a motorcycle taxi to offer transportation services, which is something she thinks is very profitable.

This is her third loan with Microfinanzas Prisma, and she promises to continue paying punctually. She also emphasizes the good performance of her communal bank. She will invest the loan she is requesting in the purchase of a motorocyle taxi, with the goal of growing her market and also earning an extra income, which will serve her family’s basic needs.
