A loan helped a member to expand her business.

06 Andromeda Group's story

“06 Andromeda” Communal Bank, part of Agencia Santiago II, is made up of eight women members who are friends. It is led by a board of directors with Hortencia as President.

The loan that they will receive will benefit women microentrepreneurs including Hortencia. Currently, she has a business selling women's clothing (jackets, sweaters, pants, tops, shoes); she states that she has had this retail business for three years.

The loan she will now receive will be for increasing her capital and a bulk purchase of jackets, sweaters, pants, tops, and shoes, which she will buy from the wholesalers in the city of El Alto and then sell at her stand. This form of work allows her to generate resources to support her family financially, as she is single and has a son. Her aspirations are to expand her business, have land of her own, and for her son to be a professional.

Note: There are three people in the photograph due to the COVID-19 health emergency. That is why the entire communal bank was not photographed to avoid a large gathering.

In this group: Paola Cecilia, Maria Lizeth, Yhanis Yhesica, Adel Ismael, Cinthia Rosario, Ever, Lizeth Maricela, Hortencia
