Aurelia's story

Aurelia is a 32-year-old woman from the Grozasca village, Ungheni region of Moldova. She is married and together they have three children who make them happy. Aurelia and her husband Serghei work for the same company as tailors. She has a very large household. Aurelia owns 6 ha of land and 150 poultry, horses, pigs and cows. Part of the production obtained she uses for family consumption, and the other part she sells at the market. The sale of dairy and meat gives Aurelia the opportunity to earn extra income to support the family. They are hardworking and manage to maintain the household and work at the same time.

Now, Aurelia is applying for a Kiva loan to buy fodder. As a result, she will be able to support her animals in the winter while continuing to grow her business.
