Determination Trust Bank Group's story

Rose describes herself as hard-working and someone who loves selling and serving customers. She is 59 years old and is the leader of the 'Determination' borrower group, made up of six members. Rose trades in vegetables like tomatoes in the community market, the business through which she makes income to support her family. Like many vegetables, tomatoes provide much flavor to local sauces and soups and almost every local dish contains tomatoes. This makes selling tomatoes a profitable business. Rose is excited to be taking out this loan, which she plans to invest in the purchase of four boxes of tomatoes to expand her market. Rose also engages in farming as her secondary business. She hopes to mobilize more savings to rent a kiosk to improve her business Rose is married to a farmer but they do not have any children. The other members of the group are mostly farmers. She describes her group members as being loyal and as the leader she ensures regular meeting attendance and repayment of loan installments.
