A loan of $375 helped to buy fertilizer to crop alfalfa and corn.

Rocio's story

Rocío is 39 years old and she lives in her own house with her husband and their 4 children. Since she was a child she has dedicated herself to agriculture and to the breeding of small animals (rabbits, guinea pigs, ect.): essentially, every week-end she buys and sells animals, while during the week she takes care of her alfalfa and corn crops. She lets the corn dry in the sun and then she sells it in the local trade fair of her area, where she also sells alfalfa. Her husband works in the same business as well, and through all her efforts she succeeds in providing economic support for her family. Her main wish is to own a big farm of rabbits, guinea pigs and other small animals and to crop alfalfa and corn on a wider area of land. This is her sixth loan with MFP, and with her previous loans she has demonstrated being very responsible with her payments. She will use the loan she is requesting to buy sacks of fertilizer to sow corn and alfalfa.
