A loan of $550 helped to buy merchandise.

Rosa's story

Rosa, 55, is a very hard-working mother. She lives in her own house with her husband and three children. For the past 5 years she has sold notebooks, stuffed toys and Styrofoam items. She is very skilled and makes scale models, stenographic work, figurines and many school projects for students. While tending to her bookstore she produces teaching materials and her contacts with teachers lead to students who need projects done because she’s very keen with them. Her daughter helps her to make the decorations for important celebrations because detail work on Styrofoam is difficult to do alone. She has been in this line of work for 5 years and she’s happy with her accomplishments so she does not neglect her business. For later on in the future she would like to rearrange the accessories in her bookstore and expand her business.

This is her 8th loan with MFP. She realizes that the loan will be very beneficial for her to increase her working capital so she pledges to repay in a timely fashion. She is a very talkative group member and always works toward her group’s wellbeing.

She plans to use the funds to increase her stock of office supplies because she wants to be better stocked so that she can fill all her pending orders.
