A loan of $450 helped clothing.

Mary Cristina's story

Mary Cristina is part of the community bank Mujeres del Futuro ("Women of the Future") in the city of Portoviejo, which meets in the Las Orquidea community on the outskirts of the city.
She sells clothing informally, buying it wholesale in the city of Portoviejo. She buys items from the major wholesalers such as pants, shirts and underwear and has been doing this for more than two years.
Mary Christina has one daughter. During the day she sells merchandise and at night she and her husband work for a home air purifier company. They visit customers in their homes to give product demonstrations. They started this business recently and it is going well, but in reality Mary Christina is more dedicated to clothing sales.
With this loan she will be able to invest in her business. She has various orders to fill, for items such as perfumes and makeup. After delivering the merchandise to the customer, the customer will pay 50%, and the balance in one week.
