A loan helped a member to buy palm oil, honey and fabric for resale.

08-Bambaly Group's story

This group of five women has been part of the "banc villageois" since it was formed in May 2010. They live in the same village and work in retail sales. This business helps them improve their living conditions through the revenue they make.

Madame Fatou, who is raising her hand in the photo, is 57 years old and the group's representative. She is married and the mother of four children. She also supports two other children. With her new loan, she plans on buying palm oil, fabric and honey for resale. Part of her profits will be saved and the other part will be used for unexpected expenses.

In this group: Fatou, Amy, Gnaling, Bintou, Rocky
