Patricia's story

Patricia is a very hardworking married woman involved in several economic activities, including farming and being a business lady. She is a 30-year-old with three school-going children. She lives in Kamwenge, Uganda. As a business woman, she operates a wholesale and retail shop that sells general merchandise, like maize flour (posho), rice, beans, baked food, salt, soap, sugar, and other items, for day-to-day income. She is also a farmer and grows seasonal crops like beans alongside her piggery. She is very much interested in educating her children, and she works closely with her husband on this.

She wants to equip her shop with the required stock in order to earn increased profits. However, her lack of capital challenges her. Patricia is requesting a loan to buy more stock of sugar, salt, cooking oil, soap, bread, and other items to sell in order to increase her income.
