Pablo's story

Pablo is 54 years old and shares his life with his wife Antonia who is 48, and with 5 of his 6 children, now that the eldest works independently. They all live in his own house. This hard-working man is known in his locality as having “a thousand skills” because he dedicates himself to various activities, including coffee and plantain farmer, brick layer, tailor, baker and carpenter – he even constructs diverse furniture which he sells in the city markets and among neighbors who submit special orders.

Pablo has done these jobs for 30 years. He can count on the help of his wife and children in agriculture, the work that generates most of his income and permits him to offer the best to his family. Until now, he has been able to cover household costs and the education of his children, plus invest in materials to make furniture. What he likes most is to finish and paint his furniture, and for that reason, he wants to advance his carpentry and, in addition, to improve the productivity of his coffee, since he plans to be the coffee wholesaler in his sector.

This is the 2nd time he has requested a loan with MFP and he is very proud of continuing to collaborate with the members of his communal group, who are honest and responsible persons who always work in an active manner.

With the requested loan he will purchase special tools and equipment for cutting wood.
