A loan helped to buy different varieties of cereals, such as corn and beans, to sell at the local market to make a commission and improve her life.

Rose's story

As the moon fades away to give way to the beautiful sun, Rose (a 43 year-old mom of four school-going children) jumps out of her bed to go to her farm. She is a smallholder farmer practicing dairy and crop farming. She enjoys farming, for it is her means of securing the basic necessities of life.

Rose has realized that cereal trading is one of the most profitable businesses in the area where she lives. The only big challenge she faces is lack of funds.

She is requesting a loan to buy cereals. She intends to buy different varieties of cereals, such as corn and beans, to sell at the local market.

The market for cereals is never a problem because the demand is always high, and she plans to take advantage of that.

Because of the good relationship she has with her neighbors, Rose plans to increase her market by using word of mouth to reach more customers and markets.

Rose thanks you in advance for your help and contribution.

This loan is special because:

It finances smallholder farmers to purchase dairy cows, chickens, cereals, farm inputs and farming equipment.
