A loan of $4,300 helps a member to buy blenders and seasonal fruits.

Mis Comadres Group's story

Isidora is a 65-year-old woman. She's the president of the Mis Comadres group. You can see her in the photograph, in pink in the background. Next to her bench they're all shopkeepers from the Tranca area of the city of El Alto.

She has worked for 25 years selling juice, gelatin, and fruit juice. The length of time in her sales stall made her very well known; everybody sought her out to try her delicious juices.

Along with her communal bank, she requested a loan to buy new blenders and seasonal fruits.

Isidora loves her work. All her customers are like family to her.
