A loan helped a member to stock up on specialty and generic medicines.

Moyo Safi Group's story

Ms. Marie Gorette is a client of the microfinance institution Hekima and presides over the village group named “MOYO SAFI”. She is married, 32 years old, and the mother of two children, both in school. Her husband is an engineer.

A vendor of pharmaceutical products, she began this enterprise five years ago with startup funds from her salary. Later on, she got involved in the Hekima program for supporting her enterprise and has since been progressing in it.

With this new loan, she is going to stock up on specialty and generic medicines to bolster her initial capital. The challenge in her business has to do with multiple government taxes.

She would like to develop her enterprise and to feed her family. So, she would like to thank Hekima and its partners for supporting business owners lacking cash during this global crisis tied to Covid-19. The photo shows only the group leader because of Covid-19.

In this group: Buhendwa, Gislaine, Omari, Prudence, Esta, Apoline, Uwase, Ignace, Velerie, Marie Gorette, Fabi, Furaha, Wasukundi, Olivier, Jacques
