A loan of $475 helped to buy fresh foods for resale.

Sylvain's story

This young businessman, 41 and single, who studied to be an economist, went into business at the end of his studies. He opened a butcher shop in 2001 selling fresh food such as meat, chicken thighs, and cartons of chicken, fish, and sausages. With the loan he expects to receive, he wants to expand his business and choose good quality products and staples to satisfy the demand of his customers.

Being a good manager, he has demonstrated exactness and continues to progress despite the difficulties he encounters when the electricity is cut, either suddenly or on a rotating basis, which happens often in the town.

In the future, he hopes to import goods from Kinshasa and from other countries and become a big wholesaler whose profits will allow him to found a family and build a big house. With his exactness, he demonstrates good intentions, solidarity, and often helps others in their work.
