Mrs. Phav P., age 46, is a housewife near Siem Reap. She has three children, one of whom works in a restaurant and two of whom are students. Her husband, age 45, hulls rice for farmers to separate the rice from the husk, making about $1.50 per day. Mrs. Phav P. would like to borrow $750 to purchase a motorbike to transport the rice from the fields to the rice-huller and also provide her family with transportation.
