Maria Elena's story

María Sánchez lives in the Indurama sector of the city of Cuenca. This city is characterized by its beautiful streets, churches, and the four rivers that bathe the city. The people are nice, friendly, and hospitable.

She is a member of the Despertar Communal Bank. She is 27 years old, and she is from the city of Machala. She is married, and her husband works as a driver. They have one child. He is 11 years old, and he goes to school at the Liceo Americano.

María sells all types of clothes as a traveling salesperson. She also sells her merchandise in the city of Machala. That way she takes advantage of being there to buy more merchandise. She has been doing this for four years. She also works in a snack bar of a school in the city of Cuenca; she only works there half of the day.

She is in her sixth cycle. She tells us that the loans are helping her with the growth of her business. She has a lovely friendship will all of the members of her communal bank. She is characterized as being a very charismatic person.

She will use the loan from the Fundación to buy more merchandise. Her goal is to keep growing in her business.
