Imagen (Flat) Group's story

The Imagen Group is made up of four women whose bravery, courage, desire to work, and great spirit of vision and determination inspire them to work each day so they may be successful. They are located in the community of Ixtapaluca in the state of Mexico. This group is not made up of strangers, but of four good friends that decided to learn more about the Realidad Foundation five years ago so they could make their dreams a reality.

Guadalupe A. V., better known as Lupita, is 40-years-old with two children -- one in preschool and the other in primary school. She has been selling silver jewelry and Mary Kay products by catalog for 10 years. Because she wants to provide her children with a better future, she goes out everyday to sell her products to people she knows at her children's school as well as to clients that are recommended to her. Lupita not only sells near her house but is often called out for others to see her products. For her, business is good during holidays and slower during vacation season. It is very easy for her to work with people because she is not a shy individual and on the contrary, always has a smile. Lupita has plans for her children to have careers, to be able to have a pink car, and to become the director of Mary Kay. The loan will be used to buy products such as bracelets, earrings, and necklaces so that she has a bit more variety in what she sells.

The members of the Imagen Group include: Ana Karen García Flores, Guadalupe A. V., Clara M. Rodríguez, and Eli Ana Gómez C.. Each one works daily at a different trade. Eli Ana and and Ana Karen have their own beauty salons, Guadalupe sells silver jewelry and Mary Kay products, and Clara sells food. Each one has different plans and expectations but all have the desire to make their dreams come true. They are all grateful to Kiva and to the support they receive through the Realidad Foundation.

In this group: Guadalupe Arroyo, Guadalupe , Clara , Eli Ana
