A loan helped to buy bread, rice, sugar and eggs for her store.

Celia Del Carmen's story

Celia is the mother of three children. She is passionate about her work.

She has a convenience store which provides their daily support. She received a loan that she invested in her own family's consumption, and in stocking her store. She is very grateful.

Celia opted for a Kiva loan, through MiCrédito, that she will use to stock her store with products that have a high turnover, such as bread, rice, sugar, eggs, etc. This will bring in more customers and better earnings.

Translated from Spanish by Kiva volunteer Laurie Hiller.

This loan is special because:

It includes access to short-term emergency loans.
