A loan helped to buy stock of provisions for sale.

Rukayatu's story

Rukayatu is a married woman, who is 50 years old and lives in Asamankese, near the city of Suhum. She has three children, with one of them currently in school.

Rukayatu has been running her own provisions shop for the past six years, selling various items to those in the community. The challenge she is currently facing is inadequate stock in the shop, to meet the demands of her growing customer base. She is having trouble attracting customers because of her low inventory, and her shelves are looking empty.

Rukayatu is thus requesting a loan from Advans, and she is hopeful that Kiva lenders will fund her loan. She is saving her profits towards the re-opening of schools to pay for her child’s education.
