A loan helped to be able to increase working capital and to buy new cell phones and other accessories, like hands-free devices, glass screen covers, chargers, and other items.

Rosa Isela's story

Rosa Isela is a 22-year-old young entrepreneur. She is a resident of Barranquilla, where she has a business selling cell phones. Rosa started this business two years ago because of a lack of employment opportunities and because of a desire to get ahead and have a better quality of life.

The young woman offers her services daily to her main customers who are passersby in the area and who pay in cash. She has gained a good reputation in the area as a responsible person who sells good quality products.

Because of the Covid-19 pandemic, she had to suspend her business because of health reasons and government orders. Because of this, her income went down considerably.

At the moment, she is applying for her first Kiva loan with the Santo Domingo Foundation thanks to the Barranquilla Responds plan in order to be able to increase working capital and to buy new cell phones and other accessories, like hands-free devices, glass screen covers, chargers, and other items.

She will be able to increase her sales and her profit. Support her in this business loan.
