Margarita is 22 years old and lives in the city of Otavalo in the Imbabura province.

Margarita is a hardworking and responsible young woman who, from a young age, has looked for a way to obtain income for her family. This is why she learned from her mother how to embroider shirts for the indigenous people of Cayambe. She became a single mother at a very young age, which was one more reason to better herself economically.

Margarita has worked embroidering shirts for some time now, which is how she obtains the daily support for her son and the economic support for her mother. Margarita carries out her work in her home in order to later sell them in the city of Otavalo.
