A loan helped a member to buy rice, sugar, oil, beans, coffee, bread, eggs, etc.

El Cristal Group's story

Exania is a young woman of 25 years and the mother of one child. She is a businesswoman who has had a grocery store for eight years, a business she started because she lives in a high-traffic area of people working in the mine.

At first she only sold sodas, which sold out rapidly, so she decided to diversify with the sale of foods. Since this went well, she started the small grocery store that she has currently. She also has the support of her husband, who works in mining. With the previous loan, she succeeded in increasing her inventory and making higher profits from her sales.

She is requesting a loan from Fundenuse and Kiva to buy products that she offers in her store, like rice, sugar, oil, beans, coffee, bread, eggs, etc. Her plans are to grow in her business in order to improve her quality of life and that of her family. She belongs to the solidarity group "El Cristal" with Jader, Román, and Donel, who work in mining.

In this group: Exania, Donel, Román, Jader

Translated from Spanish by Kiva volunteer Sherry Kruch.
