A loan of $375 helped purchase of utensils and ingredients for food preparation.

Mary's story

Mary is 32-years-old and lives with her two children in her own house. More than a year ago she began to work selling food in the main square of her community, and this is how she works during the week, only resting for one day. Occasionally her children help with her work, but the majority of the time she works alone until the middle of the day serving her customers who are drivers who pass by her area. She has seen that this business is very profitable and is thinking of improving her food-selling business and expanding sales by offering breakfasts and dinners. This is the first time that she is requesting a loan from MFP [Microfinanza Prisma, or Prism Microfinance]. She will be very responsible with her payments and she thanks the people who will contribute to her loan as it will be very useful in advancing her business. With the loan that she is requesting, she will invest in utensils and ingredients in bulk for the preparation of meals.
