Operating a farm has been a tremendous business venture for K. Night from Nyarugote, Bushenyi. Having had a big family of eight children, with a careless husband who is forever thinking of drinking alcohol rather than any other productive work, Night, aged 52 years, worked tooth and nail to start up the sale of bananas which are commonly used to prepare a local dish by customers here in Uganda.

Along with this business Night has a pineapple garden and coffee trees, all of which supplement her income. Thus, she is always able to earn 200,000 Ugandan shillings monthly.

This loan is to help her do the mulching, buy stake poles for her plantation and buy pesticides. This will help her improve her production and sales revenue to enable her take care of her family.
