A loan helped a member to buy cooking oil and sugar to sell.

Imbuto Cb Group's story

Euphemia is a 50-year-old single mother of two children, ages 12 and 18. For the past 10 years, she has owned a shop.

Euphemia is the leader of the group named Imbuto CB (which means “fruitful” in English). The group members sell different items and own a variety of businesses.

Euphemia will use her portion of the loan to buy cooking oil and sugar to sell in her community. With the profit from her sales, she will be able to grow her business and also provide for her family. She is thankful for the support.

Due to the global pandemic, Urwego was not able to photograph all of the members, so one representative is standing in for the group.

In this group: Vivianne, Viollette, Euphemia, Clementine, Margueritte, Saudi, Byumvuhore, Costsie, Ibrahim, Marie, Angelique, Deogratias, Agripine, Marie, Valentine, Mukahavugimana, Constantine, Chantal, Julienne, Pierre, Venantie, Mediatrice, Olivier, Thelicile, Dative, Athanase, Joselyne
