A loan helped a member to buy more bananas for making juice.

Twisungane Cb Group's story

Velene is 67 years old, widowed, and has a 35-year-old child. For the past four years, she has been selling banana juice. She is the leader of the group named Twisungane CB, which means “joining together” in English. The group members sell different items and own a variety of businesses.

Velene will use her portion of the loan to buy more bananas for making juice to sell. With the profits from her sales, she will be able to grow her business. She is grateful for the support of the lenders.

Due to the global pandemic, Urwego was not able to photograph all of the members, so one representative is standing in for the group.
