A loan of $725 helped to buy manure and fertilizer for his yucca fields.

Paulino's story

42-year old Señor Paulino L. P. is married; his wife is a teacher and contributes to household finances. He has three teenage children, and the two older ones are students. The family lives in the neighbourhood of Piedra Quemada in the town of Ticuantepe. The majority of the people who live there are poor, work in agriculture, and have large families so they lack the money to improve their financial situation. Everything they earn is spent on basic necessities.

Paulino and his family grow yucca and have 31 years of experience in this line of work. He is asking for a loan to buy manure and fertilizer to improve the health of his yucca crop. Such an investment would help increase production and lead to more sales and greater income. This money would give Paulino the capital necessary for business, personal, and family projects.
